ESCAPE

Many companies don't realize that today any consumer within Europe has the legal right to get information about chemicals in all products. Questions about pens, sports shoes, store boxes, cables, insulation material, headphones, t-shirts, toys, leather seats, ... must be answered within 45 days free of charge.   

Although the European legislation (REACH) imposes this obligation since 2007, there are very few companies ready for it. 

The list of chemicals (SVHC) on which clarity should be provided to the consumer, now includes a little over 50 substances. Next year, presumably, the list could contain more than 100. An update to this list of 1,200 substances is in preparation. The longer companies wait, the more complicated the matter and the more work it takes to meet the information obligation. 

Exitss, therefore, has developed a complete online tool to collect information about the chemicals in products and exchange information with suppliers: ESCAPE. 

It is a user-friendly program that at the touch of a button presents you all the information and analyses of the chemical substances that are present in your products. In this way, questions of consumers can be answered quickly and effortlessly.   

ESCAPE consists of three modules:

· A database containing a description of all parts per product, their chemical substances, analyses and information of the suppliers

· A content management system to request and manage the information of your suppliers (mailings)

· A Web portal to exchange information with your suppliers (with own logins for suppliers)
